About the RGMF

The Rosenvolk German Medieval Festival held its inaugural event in October 2015. The RGMF has as its goals: promoting the German heritage of Dubois County, encouraging the education of visitors in ancient crafts and trades, and being a source of entertainment for all ages.

To reach our goal of being an educational event, the RGMF has partnered with St. John-Paul the Great Catholic School Corporation and has reached out to many homeschool groups. While the RGMF is not a Catholic organization, we appreciate the support of St. John-Paul the Great school for allowing us to join their 501(C)3 in order to launch our festival as an educational event.

The RGMF has many goals for the future, including the construction of a medieval German village in the beautiful hills and fields outside of Ferdinand, Indiana. This permanent village will feature a castle, entertainment spaces, a jousting arena, and German-themed buildings where vendors will sell their wares. In the off-season, the medieval village will be available to rent for the perfect backdrop for weddings and receptions.
